Steven F. Schepman is Principal of TSG, a business and capital advisor he founded in January 2012 providing consulting and merchant banking services. In January 2014 TSG acquired The Winetasting Network from (NASDAQ: FLWS).  Steve’s partners include Ron King, Rob Poirier and Bill Pruellage.

The assets acquired include 140 domain names including our active website  dozens of trademarked wine brands, and 300,000 bottles of wine inventory. In November of 2016, TSG divested of  the retail business of selling third party wines to focus on developing our own brands as a bonded winery. With its licensing portfolio supported by the ShipCompliant platform, the company is able to sell its wine direct to consumer in 40 states also providing B2B solutions for companies such as 800-Baskets, Amazon and Vivino to sell wine as marketing agents.

Previously Steve was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at AHM Financial Group after spinning out the insurance division of First Banks, Inc. and merging it with AHM on September 30, 2009.  He was a member of the board of directors of First Banks, Inc. from 2004 to 2009 where he was also a member of the executive management team serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development.  While at First Banks, Inc. he also served as Chairman of several subsidiary businesses as he lead the bank’s effort to generate fee income.  The subsidiary businesses included Adrian N. Baker & Co (an insurance agency), First Brokerage America (broker/dealer), Missouri Valley Partners (registered investment advisor), and UPAC (insurance premium finance).  Prior to First Bank he held positions in both the tax and audit practices at KPMG and Price Waterhouse. He has completed eleven acquisitions and divested of four companies.

Steve earned a CPA in the state of California, an MBA from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and his Bachelor of Science in business administration from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond.  He is past board member of Forest Park Forever, the St. Louis Zoo, Young Presidents Organization and recipient of the St. Louis Business Journal Top 40 people under 40.
